Located in the city center, on the place Clairfontaine, it is indeed an institution in the Luxembourg food industry. The menu is more traditional than other trendier gastronomic places, but it is delivering with mastership. A little pricey but it is a favourite place for business lunches, dinners and for special private occasions. The layout of tables is such that one can still have a normal conversation without being overheard by the neigbouring tables. Larger groups can use one of the two private rooms. The dishes are always original, tastefull and special and made up as works of art. The choice of wines is impressive.

It is a modern eatery inside the designer store Smets on Route d'Arlon in Strassen, just a few miles from Luxembourg city. It is however worth the visit. Excellent food, excellent service. The restaurant has a modern design with an innovative food combination, portions can be small but the restaurant clearly deserves their bib gourmand rating and is probably working on their Michelin star. Availability and choises of (good) vegan food are an additional plus.

Le Sud is on the 3rd floor of a lovely building and it feels like a large dining room in a chateaux - chandeliers, nice lighting, carpets.... It’s in a great location and it is recommended the walk there/back through the old buildings/walls. Elegant restaurant with good food and attentive service, try out the "menu découverte". It consists of three appetizers/starters followed by a main dish, cheese and dessert. The staff is also helpful and explaines all the courses. This is a great place for special occasions (anniversaries) or business lunches/dinners.

Good food, great service, nice interior - one of the better places in Luxembourg town where the price value is still OK. They have some quite corners, well suited for a nice diner with friends or partner. The food options are limited, but still diverse enough; Italian flavors are convincing and presentation is great too; quality of the ingredients, notably the meat is good; wine list is varied but maybe a little expensive; pricing is ambitious, without being disproportionate.

The food is traditionnal French cuisine, not the most creative but very precise and utterly satisfying. Nevertheless the quality is always spotless. The bisque d'homard (lobster soup) as a starter is a must ! As a main the cocotte of mixed fish is also worth trying. The desserts are sometimes not as good and refined as the other dishes. All in all delicious food, perfect service, very nice interior. Great place to take customer s or friends.
