The Westin Excelsior has hosted celebrities, statesmen and artists visiting since 1906. It is on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2006 Gold List, and in the well known area of Via Veneto, an ideal location. The well known Villa Cupola is the largest suite in Europe and its magnificent style is shown all around the wonderful hotels with all the extravagant furnishings and newly remodelled 287 guest rooms and 32 suites.

During my travels, I did stay at few Westin properties around the World. As far as the Westin Excelsior in Rome goes , we did stay for 3 nights and loved it. One has to admire the architecture of the building itself. Not exactly sure how old it is , but it's beautiful. Especially at night, when the hotel is lit. Rooms are large and very comfortable. The main advantage is the location. Walking distance to Spanish Steps, to Vila Borghese and to many other sights. Not exactly "cheap accomodation" but it was worth every penny. And plenty of fantastic places to eat in close proximity
